The Melbourne Cup is no longer an Australian race. It is an international race. It’s held on the first Tuesday in November every year, which this year is Tuesday 6 November 2018.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This Tuesday, Austcham Melbourne Cup Luncheon gave everyone a chance to experience a truly classy event ! Whether you are an Australian or not, across Australia or the world, Melbourne Cup day is something you really must do at least once in your lifetime.

 

 

 

 

 

The cup, as Melbournians called it, is a great social occasion for the city. The race is a real test of stamina, it’s a handicap event. Predicting which horse will “see out the miles” is a real test of the tipster’s art. And the lucky winner who got the same number as the winning horse has gained a romantic buffet dinner in Crowne Plaza for 2 people.

 

 

 

 

 

The event was a classy warm party accompanied by great wine sponsored by Pran Wines. Game booths were set up and attendees were keen to win great prizes offered by our generous sponsors, including:

This time, we set up the wine toss game with Pran Wines. Participants who involved in the competition were very excited to bring their own wine home!

 

 

 

 

 

Also, our guests had a great time on top of the 63rd floor of the iconic historical building of Guangzhou, the helipad of Crowne Plaza, to enjoy the wonderful time with friends and wine.

 

 

 

 

Of course, not to our surprise, our members and ladies dressed-up beautifully, and the best dresser prize went to our most creative guests: Kara from K2Fit!

The Melbourne Cup brings the nation of Australia to a standstill, so did the crowd gathered together. This is a one-off bucket list event for everyone!
