About the Workshops
Aromatherapy
Part 1
The philoshy underlying aromatherapy is that plant essential oils can help restore health to the body and harmony to the mind.
Essential oils are pure, concentrated extracts of aromatic plants, taken from a wide array of sources, including flower heads and petals, leaves, stalks, bark, seeds, gums, and raisins. Each essential oil has a particular fragrance, a distinct chemical composition, and a unique set of physical and therapeutic properties. Can be inhaled to stimulate olfactory centers in the brain, and they can be absorbed through skin, diluted in a base, or carrier oil, so that they can be massaged into the skin in a safe manner and at a safe dose.
Hilary is a GF member, from America who has been living and working in Shenzhen for the past 8 years.
Hilary is an oil enthusiast who originally got interested in oils when she became more aware to the synthetic chemicals that are in our everyday skin, hair, and cleaning products. She then discovered all the benefits essential oils can bring to your everyday life, including using certain oils as stress relievers.
Workshop
Hilary will introduce the science behind aromatherapy and how it functions in our brain. As well as, explain which oils are specific to help us live more less stressful lives. Then everyone will have the opportunity to make their own, ‘stress free’ roll-on to take home!

Breathing & Meditation Therapy

Part 2
Practicing mindfulness meditation has continously proven itself to be effective in reducing stress and depression, improving attention and cognitive
Meditation can be defined as a practice where an individual uses a technique, such as focusing their mind on a particular object, thought or activity, to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state. As well as, focusing your mind on just breathing in and out in order to rest  the mind.
Angelo Castagneto, also a GF member, is the passionate Latin American Trainer that helps people to reduce stress through live music, art, and professional coaching techniques.
After 9 years in China and experiencing serious stressful moments in his own life, Angelo deeply understands the social pain and human’s inner struggles. This has become his main motivation to create tools and techniques especially to support people’s RELAXATION, SELF-EXPLORATION, and HEALING. For more than 6 years, he has been learning with world-class level Master of Psychology, NLP, and Personal Development; successfully combined his passions for music and training.
Workshop
Angelo will be offering a workshop on breathing and meditation techniques in order to release stress, be calm and focused, take better decisions in life and experience more positive results. Angelo hopes that you can apply these techniques, whenever and wherever possible.

Dance & Music Therapy

Part 3
The scientific reason for why dance has the ability to act as a stress reliever stems from the idea that when the body feels good, the mind does, too.
Any type of physical activity releases neurotransmitters and endorphins which serve to alleviate stress. Neurotransmitters are chemicals within the brain that help communicate messages throughout the body. Endorphins are the body’s natural painkiller to reduce stress and improve the mind’s perception of the world. Thus, after a good workout the endorphins cause the body to feel calm and optimistic. The endorphins also aid in improving the quality of sleep, so that a few sleepless nights due to stress can be avoided after dancing!
