Last Saturday, the Guangzhou Scorpions Football Club, Guangzhou Rams Rugby Club and AustCham South China, in collaboration with charity partner Guangdong International Volunteer Expat Service (GIVES), hosted Guangzhou’s 2018 Sports Charity Gala in Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich.
We had in total 311 guests, who ordered 33 tables, attended the event. All guests have put on their black-ties and evening dresses to enjoy this annual gathering with meaning and we have got very good feedback after the event. People enjoyed their delicious dinner prepared by Executive Chef Mr. Daniel Brooker, especially vegetarians thanked for the our detailed attention and special care. After dinner, guests enjoyed the dance floor with band Easy Tiger played till late night.
This annual event brought together athletes, celebrities and corporate partners in the local expatriate community, and this time we have brought 45530 RMB charity auction income to help the local charity GIVES’s autistic children project. We would like to give our great thanks to the British School of Guangzhou, Carlsberg, Guangzhou BG Trade Company and all the other sponsors for their generosity. It was a great celebration of strong sporting culture in Guangzhou and social responsibilities of all enterprises presented.
