The Australian federal election will be held on Saturday 18 May 2019. If you are an eligible Australian citizen living overseas you can still participate but you need to be enrolled.
The Australian Consulate-General Guangzhou will be open for in-person pre-poll voting on:
Tuesday 7 May – Friday 10 May 2019 | 9:00am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4:00pm

Monday 13 May – Friday 17 May 2019 | 9:00am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4:00pm

Saturday 18 May 2019 (Election Day) 2019 | 10:00am – 4:00pm |
To be granted access to the Australian Consulate-General Guangzhou to vote in-person you will need to bring Australian photo identification. Identification is not required to vote.
If you cannot vote in-person at the Consulate-General, youcan apply for a postal vote. Online applications for a postal vote (for thosealready enrolled to vote) are available on the Australian Electoral Commission website. Your application must be submitted to the AEC by 6.00pm, Wednesday 15 May 2019.
Australian citizens and dual nationals will not lose theircitizenship entitlement if they do not vote in a federal election.
