Sydney and Guangzhou recently celebrated their 30 year sister-city relationship in Guangzhou from May 30 to June 1. The City of Sydney and the Guangzhou Municipal Government hosted an Opening Cocktail Reception on the night of the 30th with speeches delivered from each respective head of government and Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance which followed afterwards. A business summit on the 1st of June was held with ACBC, CCPIT and AustCham members attending to discuss about key issues surrounding the “Green, Global and Connected” theme.
为庆祝悉尼-广州姐妹城市30周年，两市于5月30日联合举办了隆重的开幕酒会，酒会先由两市市长分别致辞，接着由世界闻名的悉尼交响乐团呈献交响盛宴。6月1日，澳大利亚中国工商业委员会、中国国际贸易促进委员会和中国澳大利亚商会会员出席了广州-悉尼商业峰会，围绕“绿色.全球.连通”主题展开热烈讨论。
Ms.Clover Moore, Mayor of Sydney and Mr. Chen Jianhua, Former Mayor of Guangzhou, made welcomed all important guests to the opening ceremony of the 30 year sister-city relationship.
悉尼市市长Ms.Clover Moore女士以及广州市前市长陈建华先生向现场嘉宾致以亲切问候，并分别为开幕晚会致辞。
The audience was dazzled by the combined performance of The Sydney Symphony Orchestra and violinist from Xinghai Conservatory of Music. The musicians were met with standing ovation as the musical performance came to a finale.
悉尼交响乐团和广州星海音乐厅的小提琴家在欢迎演讲之后，为当天的来宾上演了一场交响乐盛宴。与会嘉宾给予了极高的评价，现场掌声不断。
Sydney – Guangzhou Business Summit was successfully held in Guangzhou on June 1 with the themes “Green, Global and Connected” .
