The Anzac Day Dawn Service, hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Consulates in Guangzhou was held this morning at the Shangri-La. In a poignant and moving service, all attendees paid respects to the Australians and New Zealanders “who have served and died in all wars, conflicts,and peacekeeping operations”
Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who fought at Gallipoli against the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
It is now a time for reflection and gratitude, and AustCham was proud to participate in the 2018 service. Lest we forget.
