Alexander Paltos
Alexander Paltos is Founding International Principal at Meisha Academy by Haileybury, Guangzhou. MAH is a brand new 9-12 Australian (VCE) Curriculum International Boarding School in the South of China and are affiliated with Australia’s Number 1 private school, Haileybury College. Alex has been in Education for almost two decades and has international experience spanning across three continents and all major curriculums (IB, Australian, British) with a recent heavy focus on his native VCE. His other leadership roles have included a Head of Year post at Repton International School (Dubai) and he was Head of Middle School Humanities & Housemaster at Haileybury College (Castlefield Campus). Alexander’s Masters of Educational Management and Leadership focused on leadership and processes within International Schools. He has vast expertise in outdoor education and the operation of international schools and his MBA acquired at The University of Sydney was Asia (specifically China) facing and helped cultivate a passion for digital innovation and application of technology in Education. Alex is also currently undertaking a Ph.D. at Monash University focused on the challenges of establishing joint venture schools in China and South East Asia. In his spare time, he enjoys keeping fit, running marathons, walking his two amazing dogs, eating steak and watching his beloved AFL Hawks.
