May 7th | Let’s Run for Love

This Sunday, athletes of Guangzhou will take to the starting line of the Happy 10K Run. Among them will be three of our own. AustCham’s Asha Forsyth, Chuan Chan of Little Treasure, and Zac Wang from Lloyd Morgan will be running to raise money for Wilber’s Foundation, a Guangzhou-based charity helping children in need.
How much should I donate?
Every bit helps, but let’s say 10 RMB per kilometre. That’s 100 RMB.

Wilber Foundation
Wilber Foundation is a charity registered with the bureau of Civil Affairs of Guangzhou Municipality in 2013 by Mr. Sonny Wilber Doo. The charity is formed to support the well-being of underprivileged children including orphans, the disabled, the autistic and those who are in need of urgent medical care. Wilber Foundation also supports the growth and development of these children by providing them with education assistance and guidance. The Foundation has a board of governors who are professionals monitoring the programs and financials of the fund independently. Wilber Foundation Guangzhou is affiliated with Wilber Foundation Hong Kong which is an NGO registered in 2014.

As a representative of Lloyd Morgan, Zac is more than happy to join our 10km marathon to raise money for charity.

Chuan is General Manager of Guangzhou Aoziya and Guangzhou Yingmanyi. Both companies have a primary focus of marketing Australian Infant formula brand Little Treasure and importing Australian agriculture, dairy and food products. Chuan is passionate in joining the 10km run while also building greater awareness for the Wilber Foundation.
AustCham South China
The China-Australia Chamber of Commerce, South China (AustCham South china) was formed in 1994 to develop, promote and expand business relations between Australia and South China. As a member of AustCham Greater China and as a registered NGO office in the People’s Republic of China, the chamber represents its members through sharing information, connections and government advocacy. As a platform AustCham enables its members to exchange information on business opportunities in the region. AustCham South China’s office is based in Guangzhou with representation across the broader South China region.
